It's hard for me to get to wired up about doctrine, that being said I truly appreciated the fair explanations from all sides on various arguments. Historical tid bits and an orderly format were an added bonus. This book tried to be fair in explaining all views, which was an aspect I enjoyed for the class in general. An excellent introduction to Christian theology and history. Readable and understandable. Not intended to be exhaustive but good for people new to theology.

Clear and concise Overview of Christian doctrine in historical perspective. The book is organized by theological topic and each topic is discussed historically. In this way, it provides a helpful combination of systematic theology and basic historical Christian theology.
