This is a very important book and one I think many should read. Handy that it's nice and short.

The only downside to me is that Mano becomes a bit pedantic toward the end. The chapter on how our education system came to be designed to fail could have had more background presented.

But if nothing else, it's important that people get the message that there are ways to close the achievement gap, real known methods that work, and that the punitive measures of "No Child Left Behind" do nothing but sacr
