This is Warren Buffett's favorite book on investing; Buffett was Ben's student and Columbia and the only student Graham ever awarded an A+.

It's funny, I picked up this book to learn how to identify undervalued companies, which is what Graham is famous for. What I got out of it is something completely different.
I learned that a truly intelligent investor, before even firing up Google Finance, can identify his financial goals and his risk tolerance, and is also realistic about his skills, knowledge, and commitment. Probably half of the book is dedicated to this stuff, and I'm sure that most people skip right over it.

This is the bible of value investing. If you like picking your own stocks this is an absolute must. It was written in the early 1900's but its content is still valid today and it is often mentioned as a major influence for investors such as Warren Buffet.
