Recommends it for: people who like Icelandic sagas.
Shelves: sagas
an interesting presentation of two sagas - with some of the more interesting fag-baiting that i remember seeing in the genre - with a lengthy examination of the use of the law in the sagas, and whether it was historically accurate. Long story short: it wasn't, which didn't stop the Nazis from looking at it as a source of inspiration.

read it after you've read a few sagas to get the most out of it.
