This book was full of very interesting information. Great resource for Louisiana Purchase topic and explaining in detail. Kids enjoyed it. We read it staight through and they were interested.
This book did a nice job giving the background of the Louisiana area and how American came to own it. It held our attention and they were able to narrate back what we'd read. There is a map at the back which showed the area which was purchased (that really surprised them) as well as a list of states that created.

I thought the book a bit choppy, however. It started with Napoleon wanting to sell, then goes backwards to talk about the exploration and discovery then forward in time, then back once
