I came across this series at a garage sale, and bought it while unsure what to expect. Would it keep things clean like on the Disney Channel, or would it be soapy and bawdy like The O.C.? Fortunately, it turned out to be definitely the former; in fact, it had the feeling of the series premiere of a new show on the Mouse network. Though the themes are serious--suffering from a disability, a care accident, etc.--they are handled well and appropriately. Let's hope that the future volumes in this se...more

Amazingly brilliant! i loved the car accident; it was so enthralling!! cant wait till i get the next one
It was alright, i think i prefer the saddle club books and the pony tails, well there average. TOTS i love THe saddle club, veronica my Fav!
I got this book off Paperback Swap on a whim because The Saddle Club was my favorite series as a kid, and I remembered hearing Bonnie Bryant had written a series about the girls as teenagers. So I was curious. While not the best-written book ever, it was like revisiting with long-lost old friends. It felt good to hang out with Carole, Stevie, and Lisa again. I look forward to reading the rest of the series, if not for major literary gain, then for pure kicks.
This was a wonderful series. The only thing I didn't like was the sudden and kind of crappy ending. Although the girls changed they will always be what they were when they were kids to me.
I was going through a box of old books and found this. I didn't even mean to read it, but before I knew it, I had it all read. I wish I had the rest. #nostalgic
I remember enjoying these books as a teen because they were about horses. They aren't the best written books ever, but they are a fun quick read.

Lisa heads off for Califorina, and Stevie, Carole and Callie get into trouble on the drive home. Will things ever be okay again?

Good book. I read the whole series after this!! I love that it isn't specifically for 7 year olds but it's still about horses!!
Read this series after the saddle club series... a little "advanced"...but very good.

American author of children's books. She is best known for creating the intermediate horse book series The Saddle Club, which was published from October 1988 until April 2001.
