This book is nothing more than short (.5–5 page) biographies on children's book illustrators from around the turn of the 20th century. Oh, and the pictures. There are examples from most of the illustrators, including some colored plates.
I enjoyed reading the bios on the authors I was familiar with, but I soon burned out on reading it page by page, since there was nothing to link the information together for me.
