This truly was about enemies turned lovers and the process took time, they had know each other for thirteen years, Cate and Justin and met when Cate started dating Justin's best friend Trent. They never liked each other even when Cate married Trent and Justin told her that she didn't deserve him, what she didn't know was that he meant that Trent wasn't good enough for her and that proved true. Cate was one her way to be a doctor while Trent and Justin were trust fund babies only out to have a go...more
Pretty good book. I enjoyed the general story, of taking on child traffickers, and falling in love along the way. It did keep me turning the pages, waiting to see what was going to happen next, and how Cate and Justin were going to overcome the latest challenge. This book follows one of the last characters in the Copper Lake series. Overall the series has been one of my favorites. One of the things about Marilyn Pappano's books, is that one or more of the main characters almost always has to realize that they made some mistake in their past in judgement. This book was no exception. They are quick reads, but enjoyable.
Excellent book! Terrific, well rounded and flawed characters, perfect amount of push pull tension against a ticking clock plot. I couldn't put this book down! Highly recommend!
