With proportions that would make Xena weep, Jacqueline Frazier despairs of ever finding a lover she can’t intimidate. Until the day she ignores an itty-bitty warning regarding the use of a family heirloom, and finds herself swept off her feet by a knight in not so shining armor, back to the twelfth century. This book grabbed my attention in the first page and keep it throughout the book. Our heroine and very modern woman, Jacq Frazier, is thrown back in time to the middle ages. She is rescued by Rufus, who is gorgeous and definately an alpha hero. He is also a fine example of a man from the middle ages who believes in male superiority. The action is fast paced which helps to increase the sexual tension between Jacq and Rufus. A great read and a book that I hated to put down. I will definately be re ...more

Overall: Jacq is a Xena type fighter in the renaissance fair and she can kick any man's ass with one hand tied behind her back. She gets home one evening and there is a package waiting for her from her late Aunt that she has only met once. Inside the package is an a beautifully wooden carved box and a very ancient book with prayers written in it. There is one that catches her eye and the next day when she has to be the minstrel she recites this prater and is transported back in time. Ruf
