I thoroughly enjoyed Connie Lane's other book, Romancing Riley, so when I stumbled across Dirty Little Lies I was anxious to get started. The book seem to have a cute premise, but it took a while to get started. Once it did, I got caught up in it, and it was an okay way to pass the time. I just didn't find it as funny as the previous book I'd read by this author. And I found it a little repetitive... we heard a look about how the hero's look would make criminals confess and how perfect perfect

Slow....until the last 25 pages. It had potential. Great characters. Everyone had their own personality. Lacie was the perfect beauty queen. Beau a great FBI agent. But the chemistry between them never gelled. The scenes that were great were too short. The main character development was long and drawn out. Loved the story line and plot. It was the only thing that kept me going.

This was a very corny romance novel and I don't feel as if the plot ever took off. It's not a book I'd recommend to anyone to read and just finished the book to finish it.

I liked this book I guess because it had a little kick of home to it.
It's the whole southern girl from Kansas thing and had a lot of twerps I could totally relate to.
I liked how she was perceived as this innocent, snobbish beauty queen but in fact was the total opposite. How this out of town guy came for a reason and ended up doing something totally different. They got caught up in each other and a sort of mess evolved.
