Very fun and accurate depiction of a time and place in Alaska. His writing was tight and brilliant and his stories were spot on.

Not a whole about fishing. Stereotypical frontier story. Lots of high minded escapist philosophy competing to be profound in Alaska.

A fun read about a person who just decides to leave his life in contemporary America for Alaska. Nice look at salmon fishing and the lives around Bristol Bay.
