Love at first woof.
When Denver-based Were blogger and founder of Honoring of Werewolf Legacy (HOWL) Kate Stillman agrees to take on political “bad boy” Duncan MacDowell in a public debate about werewolf segregation, she’s confident she'll sail through the challenge without letting down her guard.

And what can go wrong while hanging out with the sexy Scottish founder of Were

Rushing to start the next book in the series I forgot to list my reading. Thompson always manages to deliver smiles while reading. Never to heavy on drama but does pull punches on bringing a light hearted paranormal romance.

The Wild About You books are some of the cutest werewolf novels that I have ever read and Werewolf in Denver is my favourite one so far. I loved the blogger / social media backbone behind this one. Perhaps not all readers will connect with the story line as I did because not everyone's a book blogger but I think that the tech savvy werewolves will appeal to many on some level, especially in today's gadget-ized world. I enjoyed the back-and-forth between the main couple in

A light, fluffy read. The heroine believes in were-were mating while the hero believes that weres should be allowed to mate with humans and the secrecy should end. After fighting online for months these two meet at the first Were conference and become stranded, loads of banter, sex and they end up together but still believe in an opposite cause.

I honestly don't have a lot to say about this. The whole book spans a total of 3 days. So when I say insta-love, I mean they are having sex the first day they meet face to face. In this incredibly convenient cabin, that Kate (our heroine) just happens to know the owner of. And this cabin just so happens to have a bedroom with a canopy with a mirror installed and mood lighting. Don't forget that they happen to have porn and a sexy bathroo

Duncan MacDowell the Scottish badboy, is of the opinion that a werewolf should be able to mate with whomever they want, whether it be were or human. He has founded WOOF, Werewolves Optimizing Our Future to promote werewolves coming out to humans and stop hiding their true nature.
Kate Stillman, granddaughter of the Denver pack leader, has taken the opposite view of Duncans. That werewolves should only mate with other weres. She has founded her own group, HOWL Honoring Our Werewolf Legacy. She als

3.5 Stars. It was a cute and entertaining read, but I'm not a huge fan of "fated love" or "insta-mate" kinds of romance, and this was a bit too dependent on that trope. It's one thing when the couple has an instant connection, and then put in the time to get to know each other. It's another when they are saying "I love you," and pledging their lives to one another two days after meeting. It usually doesn't bother me as much in paranormal stories, due to the magical nature of everything, but some ...more

I'm not a huge fan of this Author but when I read the book description it sounded good. Unfortunately about half way through I started to loose interest, I did finish it but never did regain my interest.

Werewolf in Denver was super fun! It all starts with two of my favorite romance tropes: enemies-to-lovers and being stranded together! There's a special conference for Weres being held at Kate's family's resort, and she's been sent to pick up Duncan (Colin from the previous book's brother) from the airport. A blizzard hits, causing Kate to run off the road, but luckily a friend's cabin is nearby. The two break in and get cozy before being rescued the following morning and making their way to the ...more

Vicki Lewis Thompson has provided us with another Wild About You novel.

The latest installment takes place where? Well, like with all the books in this series, the title gives it away. We find ourselves and our supernatural cast in Denver at a resort where there is a conference about to begin. It will be historic (or so Angela Sapworthy, reporter and Rita Skeeter wanna-be tells us in one of the few really annoying aspects of this installment)! It is the first get together of international Werewo
Review from Backchatting Books

I enjoyed "Werewolf in Denver" more than the last offering "Werewolf in Seattle" but it felt a bit uneven and sillier. This time we have two werewolf bloggers who are diametrically opposed to each other. Kate Stillman, founder of Honouring of Werewolf Legacy (HOWL), is set to take on Duncan MacDowell, founder of Werewolves Optimising Our Future (WOOF) who is a fan of inter-species mating at a werewolf convention. The premise of this was the strongest of all – why sh

Werewolves have recently become involved in social media, and this has brought the community together in Denver Colorado for the first ever WereCon! The WereCon is being held at a werewolf only resort hotel, and one of the items on the agenda at WereCon is a debate between two Bloggers with differing opinions on werewolf segregation.

Kate Stillman, whose family owns and runs the hotel hosting WerCon, is the Denver based were blogger and founder of Honoring Our Werewolf Legacy, aka HOWL. She agre

A werewolf in Denver is the fourth installment in the Wild about you Series. Kate is the leader of HOWL a group that is pro were to were relationships. “I don’t know, but I can hardly remember my own name, let alone what we’re supposed to be doing instead of having sex. I need you something fierce.”

Duncan MacDowell, founder of Werewolf Optimizing Our Future (WOOF), has spent the last year trading banter back and forth with Kate Stillman, the founder of Honoring Our Werewolf Legacy (HOWL) and is very excited to finally meet the woman with the snarky mouth. DUncan and Kate are

Another book hard to rate for me. I'm not a fan of VLT overall but the first of her werewolf series was deeper than I expect from her so I decided to give one more a try. Early on I was impressed. Kate and Duncan meet up at the airport and trade words. They are on opposite sides of a philosophical debate of who weres should mate with. It was obvious early that they were equally matched and on equal footing. I loved that, too often in shifter books the male runs over the female. Unfortunately the ...more

Werewolf in Denver was the best book out of all 4 that I read from this series. Duncan is Colin's brother from the last book. In Werewolf in Seattle Colin rushes back to Scotland to talk his brother out of mating with a human. Duncan realizes that he was only wanting to mate with her to make a point that werewolfs should be able to mate with humans. In Werewolf in Denver he takes that to a whole new level by being the leader of a group cal

I picked up this audiobook since it was on special last month and I have a review copy of the next book, Book #5, Werewolf in Alaska.

This was a lovely story of Kate Stillman and Duncan MacDowell, who were are opposite sides of a debate whether werewolves should stick were werewolves for mating or mate with humans. They have come together for a live debate at the first werewolf conference being held at the Stillman Lodge in Denver.

I waited MONTHS for this book to come out and was NOT disappointed. Excellent book and just as good as all the others in this series. Fantastic sex scenes and great plot and character development! Lots of humor and silliness mixed in with action and drama to make a great well-rounded book as usual. Def recommend like I have all of the books in this series. Am also super excited to find out that another one is coming out next July! I just hate having to wait so long! LOL Having been introduced to ...more

I was excited to get back into this series, and getting to know Kate and Duncan was awesome!
Kate is strictly for were-were mating, while her sexy rival Duncan doesn't mind were-human mating. When they finally meet in person and get trapped in a snow storm, sparks fly...and, well. So do some clothes.
This was a really fun read. The characters were once again awesome, the setting was cool--for more reasons than one--the conflicts and relationships were so well-written. I just don't know how to get

Werewolf in Denver is the 4th installment in the Wild About You series. I thought the series started out pretty strong with the Wallace Brothers stories but it seems to be running out of steam.

This book is about Kate and Duncan and the characters are likable although I didn't feel any kind of emotional connection with either of them. I felt that the story started out pretty strong and the concept was good but by the time our hero and heroine were rescued from the snow storm it started to wain,

The debate is on! For the Howlers (Honoring Our Werewolf Legacy) Kate Stillman. The Howlers feel weres should only mate with weres. For the Woofers (Werewolves Optimizing Our Future) Duncan MacDowell. The Woofers believe weres should be able to mate with humans. Both Kate and Duncan are passionate about their platforms and when they meet for debate at the Stillman resort in Denver their passions flair for more than their cause. Can two weres from opposite ends of the cause meet in the middle for ...more

Another fun book from the Wild About You series by Vicki Lewis Thompson. I’m only two books in to the series but what I like so far is that the characters are honest with each other and their agendas so there isn’t any tension from miscommunication and dishonesty that can be major plot drivers in other romance novels. Both Kate and Duncan are steadfast in the beliefs that put them on opposite ends of an internal werewolf debate. They both believe that there are right and that kind of conflict le ...more

Kate Stillman is the leader of HOWL. Duncan MacDowell is the founder of WOOF. These apposing factions of the great debate, should Werewolves share their lives with humans or other Were's alone, go head to head for one weekend in a Denver lodge. The first ever WereCon, is under way with romance on the horizon. This romance is sweet, as usual we don't have a whole lot of standard stupid alpha behavior in this series. Its just a clean, sweet romance. This book read a little different than the other ...more

I was so excited to read Duncan’s book because I really enjoyed his brothers and I wanted him to find his mate! Kate was a great heroine. She dealt well with Duncan’s arrogance while maintaining her beliefs. As far as the actual plot went, I wasn’t particularly fond of it. Duncan and Kate meet to speak at a convention on behalf of werewolf issues with Kate believing that only weres should mate with weres and Duncan believing that humans and weres can have a relationship. I thought the debate was ...more

Not as strong as the previous installments in the series. I liked the idea of a reporter frame but (and this may be unique to the audiobook) the constant entertainment reporter updates were #superannoying. If I were reading it in print form I may have been okay with it, but it wasn't really my thing. I did like that the werewolves used their own internet and social media and that the conference was framed with blogs. I'm not sure if I'll pick up the next installment in this series, but I'd like ...more

I'm afraid by page 15 I had been grated so much by the writing I was ready to give up. The author's attempts to remind us Duncan was Scottish -"..she was bonnier than the heather in full bloom" were too over the top and unnecessary. Then the use of the word "servants" rather than "staff" jarred me further. No one has servants any more, Darling!

I continued with the read but could not remain happily in the world of the werewolves. The story was light enough to read quickly but I don't think I will

For me this one was missing the spark of the rest of the series. I think that a big part of it was the political bickering between the two organizations, WOOF and HOWL. Their stances made sense, but the shtick got old fast. I had a hard time believing that Kate and Duncan would get together being that they were on such different sides of a big issue.

I loved the idea of the Were-Con, liked that all of them could get together and discuss issues that they worried about them.

Duncan McDowell, sexy scotsman and king of the WOOFers (werewolves optimizing our future), falls in love with Kate Stillman, next alpha for the Stillman pack and queen of the HOWLers (honoring our werewolf legacy). The "Wild About You" series just gets better and better and I love the acronyms! (WOW! - LOL)

I only have one book left to read from this series. This is one of my favorites and a must if you are reading the series.
There were a lot of laughs and the characters had depth and soul and I fell in love with them.

Likable adversarial primaries? Love it. Twitter battles? Not so much. Still a good story overall.

“That’s so wonderful.” Then she stepped back and turned her attention to Duncan. “You’d better treat my baby sister like the treasure that she is.” “Aye. I plan to.” “And on that note,” Elizabeth said, “it’s time to put things to rights around here. Aidan and Roarke, if you wouldn’t mind loading Neil onto the elevator, I’ll ride down with you. I’d rather not haul him out through the lobby.” She pulled a cell phone out of a small evening bag. “I’ll arrange for members of our pack to meet us at ground level.” Roarke nodded. “We can do that. Come on, Aidan. Let’s dispose of this unwanted garbage.” He walked over to Neil, who had begun to stir. “He won’t be happy when he comes to, so we need him out of here before” 0 likes
“And I’ll definitely read as much as I can before our debate.” “Hm.” He returned her gaze. “I may have made a tactical error. I’d hate for reading my book to cut into…uh…your free time.” She smiled. “Diplomatically put.” “I’m trying like hell not to come across as teasing and tempting.” “You’re doing better, and I promise that given a choice between reading someone’s book or spending quality time with the author, I’ll take the one-on-one option every time.” He chuckled. “Good.” “But if we have any chance of finding quality time, we’d better get cracking.” “Aye.” Walking over to her desk, she laid the book on it. Then she hit the button to open the curtains. “Let’s see what’s happening outside.” “Must we? With the lights on, anyone out there will be able to see in here better than we can see out there.” “Exactly.” After reading that inscription, she was feeling way too mellow about Duncan MacDowell. “You’re a determined lass, I’ll give you that.” With a sigh, he came over to gaze out into the darkness broken only by the lights on the ski slope. “Am I imagining things, or are there a bunch of wolves out there playing in the snow?” “Are there?” She peered out toward the lit slope. “That’s what it looks like to me.” Duncan laughed. “Whoever’s out there, they’re having one hell of a good time running and sliding. Whoops! That big one just wiped out. I wish we could…but we can’t.” “Not until we have something to give Howard.” But Kate watched the wolves with equal fascination. “How long since you’ve shifted?” He was” 0 likes
