I’ve put off writing a review for Lina Gardiner’s, Black Moon Awakening, for several days because I’m not sure I can do the book justice. Gardiner’s story is so intriguing and multi-layered, it was an absolute delight to read. First up, you have the romance. Jude Black and Letitia Hawkes are from two different societies that oppose each other. They risk their lives by falling in love. And it turns out, they’re not all that compatible physically in the beginning. That’s another thing to note, the ...more

3.75 stars: BLACK MOON AWAKENING by Lina Gardiner

BLACK MOON AWAKENING is a novel written in a combination of urban fantasy and the paranormal. Lina Gardiner blends the shape-shifting world of the Therian, the aggression of the werewolf, the power of the Egyptian gods and, the humans who want it all, into a fast paced story where the enemy could be your best friend or the neighbor next door.

Jude Black is a powerful Therian shape-shifter and a high level operative that specializes in targeted kill

The opening scene begins with Therian operative, Jude Black, on a simple surveillance mission that goes horribly wrong. He soon finds an unconscious woman in a laboratory and determines to rescue her. Jude’s life gets very complicated after that. Letitia is a werewolf and an enemy of the Therian race. Letitia and Jude must put aside their mutual distrust to discover the ...more

Black Moon Awakening quickly captured my attention from the first page and held it to the last. Sworn enemies work together to protect their races, humankind and stop a twisted plot for supremacy. This tales was action packed, with a romance that left me wanting more..

The tale begins when we meet shapeshifter Jude Black. Black is a level six operative for the Therian Senate. He is sent to investigate Eideroche Medical center along with the senator’s rookie son.. They see a young woman carried in

Loved it, engrossing and fun. Fast paced, mysterious and sexy, even if it is a female werewolf and a species called therions.
A forbidden love between the 2 races, yes a Romeo and Juliet scenario. Enemies yet entwined under the circumstances beyond each of their control as they try to unravel a mystery involving Egyptian Gods.

I urge you to read this and hope for the story to continue.

Lina Gardiner was born and raised in New Brunswick. She has a deep appreciation of the beauty and the special attributes of her province.
