This review is bilingual. You will find first the English version and later of that one, you will find the Spanish version.

This is a novel that I had to read as part of the Spanish program in high school.

Marcos Ramírez by Carlos Luis Fallas is easily explained as our local (Costa Rica) equivalent to Tom Sayer by Mark Twain. Both books are about the adventures of a boy living in the middle of a particular time of their nations.

The author, Carlos Luis Fallas, was a prolific writer and also was an

The story was nice, but for some reason I could not get fully into it. I liked the main character, Marcos Ramírez, and his unstoppable desire to explore and challenge the world around him. His mischiefs were fun, and even though he was punished a lot for them, he never stopped getting into a lot of trouble.

Demonios rubios. Trauma Campestre.

It has a lot of old Costa Rican slang which makes it a little hard for non-Ticos to read it (even I didn't understand some stuff).
