I may just have to get myself a copy of this useful guide for people who paint in watercolor. My only concern - the copyright is 1996, and I know that paint companies are always working on their quality, reliability and lightfastness. Still Page, takes 1400 different watercolor paints and compares them, giving her evaluation on how well each handles, mixes, and maintains its color over time. If you're a nerd like I am, you'll enjoy reading the reviews and mini-histories of pigments. I learned a lot about pigment and steadfastness reading this book and it changed the way I shopped for my painting supplies because I learned how to read the labels.
