An interesting premise, although I felt that the ending didn't live up to the potential. Honestly, the parts I fund the most compelling involved the protagonist's dying mother, which I found out (at the end of the book) are unfortunately because of the author's personal experience. Good not great, but it was only .99, and I might pick up another of his books the next time I'm in the mood for a lighter read.

I've only read the sample, but this is definitely on the "want to read" pile. There's a great twist at the end of chapter 1, and fairly rapidly it gets intriguing.
