My Aunt had nothing but praise for this book, and reccommended that my mom read it. As usually happens, my mom didn't have much time for reading, so she asked if I would read it for her and give her the essential bits.

I started to notice strange things right off the bat, little phrases and notions from the author that seemed anything but congruent with the Judeo/Christian God from the Bible. Never the less, I shrugged it off and continued through the book, but the further in I got, th...more

I bought this some time ago and, to be honest, only read the first book. After that I couldn't read any more. I give this volume a 2-star rating, and here's why:

My boyfriend and I watched the movie together. We saw it in Blockbuster and thought we'd give it a shot. Well, I liked the movie so much that I soon paid $26 for this volume so I could read the words for myself. I was excited... finally, to know what God himself is thinking! I got through the first book and got many headaches a...more

Reader Beware! Many organized religion attendees have found the ideas and concepts in this book to be blasphemous. Discussions of these concepts may cause arguments with friends and family.

The title says it all, Neale has recorded his communication with God for the purpose of sharing with us the important messages of our day. To believe or not to believe is the question you must answer while reading, the choice is yours. Freewill is our ability to choose and that is what life is abou...more

I will always be 'currently-reading' this book (read my review under Coversations with God #1), since it was part in turning my life around and speaks to my soul.
Since 'Conversations with god' I've discovered several other books, speaking the same Truth, in different forms, but this book is like a first lover, one that will always have a special place in my heart.

These books speak of a God, or power, or whatever you wish to call it, that is not just wise, but also funny. One that ...more

I experienced some anxiety before I started reading this series. I did a lot of online research and side reading while reading the 3 part series. The feelings and thoughts I had while reading the series caused the most personal contemplation I have experienced since junior high school. As a result I feel much more reassured in my belief and faith. If you can read the series with an open mind - you will experience wonders and feel closer to God; if you cannot - you will probably feel angry and le...more

Conversations With God, Book 1:

Having been raised Catholic, I approached Conversations With God with trepidation. First, I had to get past my concerns and doubts about the idea that Neale Donald Walsch actually believed he was speaking with God. Next, I knew the ideas and concepts found within the pages would challenge everything I had ever been taught for the first 30 years of my life, and I wasn’t sure I was ready for that. I studied metaphysics, mysticism, and other relat...more

The Complete Conversations with God includes all three books of the original Conversations with God series in one very large volume. Book one introduces the main concepts that are discussed throughout all three books. This first book starts off with a frustrated Neale Donald Walsch questioning his life. Everything seems to be falling apart. Simply put, he questions God and God answers (and perhaps more importantly he actually listens). Thus, the book is a series of questions and answers about li...more

This book really helped me when my father was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, and passed away six months later. I found Conversations with God very comforting. I am not generally a very religious person and I found that the message in this book was one that I could really relate to. This book was recommended to me by a friend when I first found out about the cancer and I have since recommended it to others.

This book could almost make me believe in a personal God. At least this God is intelligent, even funny at times, and wise. He is not mean or in demand of our worship and submission. I recommend this book to anyone alienated from faith, as I am, and seeking to take a second look at the spiritual side.

To be taken with a grain of salt. I'm not sure if the author is a divine clairvoyant or just a strung-out hippie ... or both. But some of the advice in the book is worth weighing for application in one's own life. Some discussions created turning points for my life. I've re-read it several times.

I am currently reading this book and I love it! This is a book that I picked up and put back on the shelf for the last 5 years. I was not ready for it at the times I looked at it before, however now, this book is resonating with me on a very high level.

This entire series by Neale Donald Walsch is very inspirational. If you are looking for a way to renew your contact with God, I would strongly encourage you to read these books.

I like the perspective :D
mainly the part about sexual relationships and marriage

So much wisdom packed between these covers - it truly takes the rest of ones life to grasp as well as "elevate" the meaning from these concepts from mind to heart in that undistinguishable place we call soul on its growth path I call spiritual enlightenment. Just as in calculus the limit towards infinity tends to but never quite reaches it, I believe that once we see that God is in everything and everyone as the highest and purest form of energy we get closer and closer to "un-li...more

Walsch deserves credit for taking on such an ambitious project. The result ranges from asinine to profound. I forgive him the misses because I found a lot of it very thought provoking. I would imagine a lot of people would find this book hokey, and they would be right, but there's a lot good stuff in there, too.

The same for the initial Conversations with God. Just more concepts and more thought process. I enjoyed books Two and Three just as much, if not more than book One.
Lisa Terry
Excellent spiritual, non-religious view of everything. Based on channeling by Walsch. The one message that stood out most clearly for me from this series is "think for yourself." Quite powerful! This book came to me during a difficult time in my life. I found it inspiring and a help through that time.

The most important book I have ever read. I will happily read this time and time again. There are no words to describe the magnificence of it. Whenever I pick it up, I always learn something new. I always understand the content better. It always makes much more sense.

I am still reading this book on a regular basis. Over and over.

It touched me deeply, answered so many questions and completely reshaped my concept of GOD. It has become a part of my daily life and the way in which I choose to journey through it.
Ashley W.
Of all the questions we have thought, and all the answers we look for, a good percent of them are lying in these books. If you can grasp the concept that god sends us messages through any form, you can believe that he has sent them to us through Walsch

Pop theology. Also bits of motivation, self-improvement, philosophy. Read it in my "trying to figure out what the F is going on" phase. Don't agree with 100% of it...but that's what the preface assumed anyway.

Amazingly simple and yet powerful and filled with truths which I somehow seemed to recognize. The book I've been searching for and never known existed. Now I can be a better version of me, the best ever.

There are interesting insights in this book and its good food-for-thought, even if (like me) you have trouble considering Walsh any kind of authentic prophet.
