well written and even somewhat believable plot wise. these characters didn't get together i the middle of saving the world, r running for their lives. they were friends and room mates for awhile. things had a more natural progression to them than most menage books. the sex scenes were pretty amazing. ok pretty amazing is an understatement. they were down right delicious.

the story kind of irked me in spots. the games sean played seemed just out and out mean at times. yes, yes, that is part of his...more

I'm so torn on this book! The sex scenes were some of the hottest I've ever read. SERIOUS panty-melting yumminess. It's the plot that sort of sinks it. The emotional plotline is a complete mess, and most of the time, I had no idea who was feeling what for whom and why in that respect.

The development of the characters, except Sean, didn't make any sense to me either. Changes just seemed to come out of nowhere, for no reason. I never really knew what the hell was going on with Kate, and Joe's sudd...more

Parts of this book I did quite enjoy onto others I was looking more with something like scientific curiosity. I'm just not into spanking, BDSM and the submission thing. When I'm reading such scenes I'm always wondering and I read these scenes trying to understand what drives these people. So, if you enjoy these topics I can recommend this book to you. For the likes like me there are also several rather common erotical encounters if you include m/m, m/m/f into this defintion ;-) which are pretty...more

Hot. Puts the triple XXX in exotic sex. Not for the faint of heart.

the book was SUPER hot, exploring fantasies, bondage, menage, and had an older female heroine. the overall story was decent, parts seemed forced, parts seemed to be missing. i would've like more story during the separation, especially since the men exchanged steamy letters. why? i also understood that one character was the lead in the relationship, but why did that mean it wasn't ok for the other man to have one-on-one time with the heroine. lots of unanswered questions about the relationship th...more

Another great read from Emma Holly. I love Holly as an author, she mixes her style of writing up, however what stays a constant is her smoking hot sex scenes (including male on male) and truly likeable characters. This book is a serious sex fest and once again there is M/M action (a big yay from me), some light BDSM (so if you don't like these things be warned) as well as the standard M/F/M of a menage.

Joe and Sean are good friends and lovers, Joe has the hots for Kate and Sean helps bring her i...more

I've read the first chapter but this book is really not grabbing me. This could be a DNF... I'll give it another couple of chapters and see how I go.

*******************************

I sat down and finished this book today. Whilst the first 150 pages has some steamy writing in it, I just couldn't settle into the book. Generally, if I'm reading erotica, I like it to be short and sweet. This was erotica but it was long; so it struggled to hold my attention.

The last 100 pages then turned into more of...more

It was pretty good. Very erotic. A lot of rear-door sexual activity.

Kate is a divorced landlady. Sean and Joe rent rooms from her. She walks in on them having sex and is invited to join them.

Sexual content: erotic. Setting: current day Philadelphia. Copyright: 1998. Genre: erotic contemporary romance.

I thought mine had a different cover, but I don't see any which look familiar, and this is the right color anyway. I really liked this one. Very often the characters in these novels seem to be archetypes rather than people, and this was not my feeling here, with the exception, perhaps of Marianne. (And there I think it was just that Holly didn't take the time to pursue that thread). The relationship between the three protagonists is moving and credible, I found.

There are alot of reviews here to get a good understanding of the book so I just wanted to stop by and add that I loved this book. I loved it so much that I am now searching out other books that Emma Holly as written and I am praying that there is another book that continues this story. I just didn't get enough of Joe, Kate and Sean....I want more more more. I adored these 3 characters.

HOT!!!! Thoroughly enjoyed this page turner! I was surprised that it has a good plot and an HEA!! Honestly, I was just looking for a very steamy romance. I got that and a whole lot more!!! Would have rated it 5 stars but I don't want to take away from the books that do have complex plots, characters, and steamy scenes when appropriate.

The start was a bit fast for me. I always need some more time to warm up to the characters but in the end I really like them all. Usually the build up, emotionally and sexually, comes before the first bedroom action but this one is good exception. Very hawt, dirty and kinky but I highly approve. Can't wait to read more of Holly'y books.
Kate
Two and a half stars.

Divorced woman gets new lease on life when she enters into a sexual relationship with her two twenty-something lodgers.

MMF menages where everyone is involved with everyone else is kind of a guilty pleasure of mine to read about. And this novel was full of everyone sleeping in everyone elses bed.

The characters were likable and the sex was hot. Overall an enjoyable read.

This book is steaming hot!!It is the story of 35 year old kate who comes home early one day to find her tenants Joe and Sean in the throes of passion. They ask her to join in and hence begins the affair.
The sex scenes are amazing but the plot is slightly dull.

THIS WAS THE MOST AMAZING LOVE STORY I HAVE READ IN A VERY LONG TIME, THE INTERACTION WITHIN CHARACTERS AND THE WAY THE READERS ATTENTION WAS ON HIGH AT ALL TIMES WAS AMAZING, I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN UNTIL FINISHED. THANKS FOR SUCH A WONDERFULL READ.

"Menage" is another incredibly hot erotic romance involving Sean (the ultimate bad boy), Joe (the sensitive composer) and Kate (the bookseller). They had a life time opportunity I mean how could they resist. ;D If you like menage a trois, this book is definitely for you. The sex scenes are down right delicious. I LOVED it!

Emma Holly is a goddess! This book is so sexy, so incredibly well-done, and really explores all angles of a menage. Just a classic. Possibly the best example of "topping from below." It starts off as a fling but becomes so much more.

After all the hype about Emma Holly's work, I was expecting something much better than I got. I spent most of the time giggling over Holly's euphemisms and bad, purple prose descriptions of man-parts rather than enjoying the romance.
Miranda
It. Was. HOT. ...And that's all I can really say. A GOOD hot, if you know what I mean ;) Really about going out of one's comfort zone, and trusting your lover(s) to accept you and be vulnerable with you.
Anita
This book is erotica, so if that's not your thing, stop reading.

I generally like Emma Holly's work. I think she's a really good romance writer that just happens to be nympho. I usually enjoy the story and relationships just as much as the hot scenes - which isn't always the case with erotica. I felt that this book was the weakest I've read by Ms. Holly. The relationships just weren't as interesting as usual. This was only her 3rd book, I think, so maybe it's just that she hadn't yet matured as a...more

My first foray into erotic romance. So, so good. So hot. So nice to see both alpha and beta male characters. And did I mention hot? Omg. Hot. Can't wait to read the rest of her stuff.

Wow. I just adore Emma Holly! This is another incredibly hot book with characters that are engaging and deep and surprising. Loved it!!

Ms. Holly does it again. Not in the "Black Lace" series, but this book is Teh Hawt. Rawr! It's a keeper!

WOW! Talk about HOT! Definately not for the faint of heart.

This was my first MMF book (not understanding the difference between MFM and MMF) so I was not really expecting what I found with this book. Glad I made the mistake...it has definately opened up a whole new world for me!

I found this book to be well written with good plot and character development. I quickly warmed up to all the characters, and the herione was strong. (I hate a whinny herione!) The plot was believable and it worked. I wou...more

I didn't enjoy reading this book, though I'm an m-m-f slut. It's sex, sex and sex. I don't feel the relation build-up between the supposedly love-struck couple. It's a wonder I finished this book until the end without taking pleasure from the story. It's just meh.
Kathy Davie
This was a sweet erotic romance involving a bookseller, a composer, and a bad boy.

I'm a USA Today bestselling author who LOVES the hot stuff, both to read and to write. My favorite obsessions are all things coffee, almost everything on HGTV, and dreaming up new stories.
