This is a sturdy, good-sized board book for very young children. There's not much to "read" here save the word "face" over and over and the corresponding animal ("monkey face," etc.). The illustrations are very cute, but also very simple, block shapes and thick lines, good for little eyes to focus on. Hopefully my son will dig it.
Bold and simple. Would be a good book for infants to play and explore with without needing a parent. Not and overly thrilling read for parents. The repeat of the same face over and over bothers me... It just seems the design could have been changed to make them more interesting... I know small children like repetition.
