An absorbing history of Superman's depiction on radio, cartoon, television and films. The behind the scenes perspective on the Reeve Superman films is fascinating, as is the lost era between 1987's The Quest for Peace and 2006's Superman Returns. Highly recommended.

definitely a worthy read, if only for the casual superman fan to learn more about his on-screen exploits. toward the end, it gets a little slow as one then another actor/writer/director are shuffled into and out of focus, but still recommendable.
