So far, my favorite volume of the series, even if it was slightly cheesy.
I know I shouldn't be saying this, what with my aversion to previously developed romance, but I do love the romance in this series. Between all the characters even! I'm even rooting for you little bro! Haine's background definitely helps that I think, and I really like how she's gotten Shizun to open up a little more and stand up for what he wants for once. Even if part of me is going that "moved a little too fast." (The o...more

This volume helped me put my finger on what it is that I don't love about this series. It's too choppy! Things just don't get explained well enough to make sense. I can't quite figure out what the deal is with Shizumasa and his...shadow? Huh? I don't know if it's the writing or the translation that is poor, but it just doesn't flow well at ALL. I have the next volume and I'll go ahead and finish that, but I'm not sure that I'll continue with this series any further. For some reason the only char...more

This was a very confusing volume. I’m not entirely sure what was going on. Granted, I read the second volume so long ago and I don’t remember much of what happened then, but I think I still would have been confused had I read the volumes closer together. So, the Shizumasa we met in the beginning isn’t the real Shizumasa? So, which one is the real one? And who’s the fake? Also, it took me a while to figure out the beginning of the volume was a flashback, which just made me even more confused. It...more

I didn't expect this book to be that good, and I was surprised. Arina Tanemura's complicated, detailed drawings are a little too overwhelming and the covers of her books are just too hard to figure out. (like what's in the background?) I like it, though. It's got a good plot, and the main character is just so dumb it's funny!

Not bad, and I love the art. Arina Tanemura is one of the greatest artist of mangas in my opinion. The story line still confuses me, but I'm starting to understand it and I love all the plot twists.
