A ménage à trois told from three different perspectives, so husband, wife and the mistress gets one part each to tell their side of the story. Everybody gets a chance, which sounds fair to me.

Carmen Firan has many qualities as a writer. There is an acute sense of observation, she reproduces all those different registers of language for every of these three characters, she creates intrigue and suspense and has a healthy dose of irony in her writing, even a very dark, almost cruel one.
