It was actually a little difficult for me to rate this book. I absolutely love Arthur C. Clarke, and my current goal is to read everything ever published by him. When I decided to read this book that was first published by him, I wasn't expecting it to be amazing since it was his very first published book. It'ts a somewhat expected ending for this era of sci-fi (at

"Pride in mankind restored". Nicely done.
Found this from the TV Tropes page "Humans are special" and it lived up to it.

Great great short story with even better ending. It is also fantastic that the story is freely published on the Internet:

This is the kind of plot that makes M. Night S. realize he's wasted his life.
