I can't believe no one on Goodreads has read this book! At a time when I was searching for something more, I read this book and it made beautiful sense to me. The author, Martine Batchelor, discusses Buddhism and meditation from her perspective as a woman who has lived sequestered among monks at a monastery. Maybe it was my own personal zeitgeist, but I have a fondness for this book. It made me appreciate and relate to everything external to myself.
