This one leaves a lot to be desired. I keep coming back to it because the concept appeals to me, but as for a story, it fails to get beyond skin-deep which in turn makes it a bit of a dull read so I have not yet got the drive to go pick up the next book. If I see book 2 in the library, I may give it a quick glimpse to see if the situation improves, but I don't think this is likely.
