Interesting story of a scientific team (four men and - horrors - a woman) from England traveling 2000 miles across the American West to Santa Fe (then Mexican territory) in a wagon train to film the eclipse of the sun with the newly developed camera of Louis Daquerre. How do I review a book that frustrated me all the way through and then came up with this amazing end? I was further frustrated to read in the Note at the end that this expedition never really took place. I think I need a more historical fact base in my historical fiction, but that being said, one of my frustrations was that too much history was jammed in unrelated to the storyline as I went along.
