Taking a direction off the beaten path was a bad idea for Jennifer Turner. When a man yells for her to stop, her initial reaction is to run from the rifle-toting stranger. What I loved about Bound to You:
-Bethany Kane (aka Beth Kery) writes for smart girls. Broad vocabulary, emotional intelligence, feasible plot and hot, interesting sex.
-Alpha Male on tap, and he’s blind! One would think it would make him seem weak, but it’s just the opposite. He is capable, in control and sexy!

I really enjoyed this erotic novella by Bethany Kane (aka Beth Kery.) I read her full length book last year, Addicted to You, and it was a a dark, erotic book that that I liked (and it made my favorite sex scenes of 2011 post). So I was happy to see a novella (and a future full-length this fall) from this author.

Kind of an unusual storyline--Hollywood actress (Jennifer) jogging in the forest falls into a sinkhole on the property of blind, hunky chiropractor/artist (John). He falls in trying to save her, and they spend a steamy night in this dark cavern while awaiting rescue. A little hard to believe that someone would be up to having wild, adventurous sex while trapped inside a dark, cold, dirty cave--with a stranger, no less--but leave those thoughts behind and have a good time with this one! A great quick sexy novella read. I was drawn to this book because the hero, John was blind. There are very few books out where the hero has a disability. Of the ones that I have read, I liked them. That was the same for Bound to You. I liked it.
John's disability really didn't hinder him at all. He pretty much does exactly what a man with normal eyesight could do. This ability includes being totally blind yet able to hike in a dangerous forest...more

I saw this on some list, and decided to read it this AM, as I needed a short read.
This appears to be the first in a new series, and I can't wait to see the next book if that is the case.

It's hard to put into words as to why this book didn't quite work for me. Laura Kaye's Hearts in Darkness had an equally ridiculous setup but I liked both characters.

Today on twitter, Laura Bradford of Bradford Literary Agency (bradfordlit on twitter) tweeted that she was reading something SO SCORCHING HOT that she actually grew embarrassed reading it in public.
This was the book. And so, yeah, I bought it. And I really, really liked it. I just finished writing a book with a blind heroine, so it was a little disconcerting reading a blind hero so soon after.

I've never read anything quite like this. infact when I realized he was blind I wasnt sure what to think or weather I would like the book. However his being blind did not affect my enjoyment of the book and I actually liked that it was different in that way. I couldnt and didnt put down this book and was able to finish it in one reading. It was short and sweet with a happy ending so I cant complain about anything. There is one scene in this book worth reading (hint: it's the dirty one). All else is mildly goofy but bearable. However, the book clearly needed one more encounter of the close kind before wrapping; the lack of such a scene left me nonplussed, as the book basically just ends with their reunion scene.
For some reason, this series is just not doing it for me. The sex is still hot, but the conflicts and the character development are just not very engaging. I know it's a short novella, so I shouldn't expect a lot of character development, and that's fine -- but then don't write all these conflicts and dramas that suddenly get resolved overnight.
This was a great short story. When you only have a little bit of time. BK certainly dug right in and got to the meat of the story. Glad to have given it a chance.

A pretty good read, though I think the story was too short for all it was trying to do. There was no transition between scenes, and the characters each had issues that deserved deeper exploration. It all ended up feeling a bit rushed.
Great, steamy short erotic novella. I loved the set up between a blind hero and a superstar actress. Great love scenes down in a cave and in the end the author made it believable. I will be looking forward to her other books.
Wow! This was hot and while very short I bought the quick romance and sex. The ending was very quick and wished it was longer and I would have given it a 5 stars.
I liked this one! John was such a strong character, in a quiet manner. Jennifer was sweet but real. I loved seeing a blind man included in a hot novella.
I think I would have liked this one better had I not disliking Jennifer. She was just TSTL, walking where people warned her not to, then running from someone trying to warn her again. It served her right to have ended up in a sinkhole, but only a pampered Hollywood actress would end up being stuck with a guy like John.
I really liked John, loved that he didn't let him blindness stop him. In fact I think he did better than most sighted people!

I would actually give this 3.5 stars. The only reason that this didn't get 4 stars was because I felt like some sexual tension or something was missing at the beginning.
I was definitely a different type of story line but ended up being a pretty good book. I would recommend readying this.

This has to be the worst story line Bethany has written.
