Hero of the High Seas: John Paul Jones and the American Revolution was about John Paul Jones' life and his war against the British. It has very good facts on everything that happened before and after his legendary battle against the Serapis. I read this book because I wanted to learn more about John Paul Jones and I did.

This was an engaging and well written biography. I really enjoyed the information and Alex and Drystan enjoyed the detail about the ships and naval battles of the time.

Simple yet interesting report of John Paul Jones. The Explanation of the engagement with the Serapis and Bonhomme Richard was easy to understand with its illustrations.

what a wonderful book. undoubtedly the best nonfiction young-readers book I have ever read. Many adults would be well served in reading this as well. Huzzahs to National Geographic!
