Snoopy has taken up a new career as a writer and so he is writing his first novel. But, some things like writer's block and even the rain get in the way of his writing - will Snoopy be able to get his novel finished and published?
It was a quick and very fun read. It brought back memories of watching the Peanuts show on TV when I was a kid. I think any children or even adults who loved Snoopy and the Peanuts will enjoy this book.

It's a shame this is out of print. It's probably Charles Schulz's greatest single achievement in the entire Peanuts oeuvre. (That's right, I said "Peanuts oeuvre.") Every writer and aspiring writer should read this book. Not to be confused with "It Was a Dark and Stormy Night, Snoopy," which I believe is simply one of innumerable Peanuts comic-strip anthologies.

This is a must read for anyone who has an imagination and aspires to the writing life.
I read this book as a 10 year old and never forgot it.
Be sure to get this edition. The newer version, "It was a Dark and Stormy Night, Snoopy," is an entirely different book.

I just got a used copy of this book for a late Christmas present. Its short, but great for a laugh- especially if you are a writer.
