Robert Stone's series of "Day Hikes" are so incredibly useful. The hike difficulty ratings and the trail descriptions are on target. I especially appreciate his guides for trails where there is little to no online information for a trail or at least inconsistent. Despite being quite familiar with the hiking trails for SLO, I discovered so many more trails in the area. I highly recommend them for new and seasoned hikers.
