Sam, E and R's Awesomness!

“Shy” is sweet!

This is a very short novella (under 40 pages.) that I read it twice. I thought it was a little slow to start when I first read through it. I felt the storyline did start to pick up when Katherine's secret admirer, “Shy”, starts sending her emails. Halfway through the texts begin, and then I couldn't read fast enough! I did figure out who her admirer was way before the end. “Shy” is so sweet and adorable in his messages. Since I already knew what to expect...more

This was a very fast, sweet read. You're introduced to Katie who has just been down the oh-so-fun road of divorce. New job, new name, new outlook on life, but something is holding her back. A random email from a stranger telling her she is beautiful starts her transformation. Texts igniting confidence and passion bring her full circle so that she finally feels whole again. This mystery man is swoonworthy!

One thing about novella's that drive me nuts....they're just never long enough ;)

I actually read this as fanfiction originally but I'm always curious to see the differences of a former fanfic. Sometimes they are drastic, other times not. This is one of the 'not' times.

It's a really cute, short story but it did have some spots that needed editing for typos and such. But really, I'm all about some typos myself so it didn't distract me too much but if you're a stickler about that, it might get under your skin.

I don't have much to say about this. The texting back and forth was difficult to discern because of formatting, and I had to stop a few times while reading to figure who was texting whom. This could have been done in a better and more readable fashion.

Overall, this short story had much potential that unfortunately wasn't realized.

Cute cute short story. I read this quickly with another novella last night and was l left reading with a smile. The text messages are a bit to follow (who wrote which one) but it was really really cute.

Too short, didn't grab me.

Killian McRae would tell you that she is a rather boring lass, an authoress whose characters’ lives are so much more exciting than her own. She would be right. Sadly, this sarcastic lexophile leads a rather mundane existence in the San Francisco Bay Area. She once dreamed of being the female Indiana Jones, and to that end she earned a degree in Middle Eastern History from the University of Michiga...more
