“U njegovom slučaju i najsmelija maštarija zvuči sasvim prirodno i moguće. To mene izluđuje, zato što sam dobro shvatio u čemu je stvar. Oni od života zahtevaju sasvim nešto drugo nego mi, čoveče. Zato rade tačno ono čemu se mi nemoćno izrugujemo. Tomas, na primer, osluškuje i sledi svoje najluđe zamisli, provocira ih čak, daje im zamaha, inspiriše se, a ti ja ih skrivamo i potiskujemo. Mi se stidimo svega što nam padne na pamet, a nije prosečno. Naš je ideal imati hleba, ne pravimo pitanje kako do njega doći, a njegov: učiniti sve da taj hleb bude savršeno ukusan. Zato kad on kaže da će se manuti svega i početi u njegovim godinama da se bavi nekim zanatom, mada još nije ni odabrao ni kojim, to zvuči sasvim normalno i svi mu veruju, ta se njegova ideja poštuje, svi znaju da je on to zaista u stanju, jer on poznaje kvalitet života. Kad bih ja to rekao, to bi delovalo lažno, pozerski, komično, a mnogima i sasvim nedotupavno. Evo, prvi ti mi se rugaš dok ovo pričam. Samo, nadam se, da si svestan da tvoj smeh odjekuje u zatvorenom prostoru, unutar bunara. Oko tebe su zidovi. Ne mogu da verujem da ne shvataš da je tvoja životna staza, baš kao i moja, obeležena kredom još u prvom razredu osnovne škole.” 0 likes
