This was an interesting read. This is the story of the first known 3500 mile "ride" fo the Blue Nile from the source to the Sea.

I liked the book most due to the constant reflection of the leader, his perspective of the journey and reflections on an incredible set of experiences from hiking the world's highest peaks to riding the deadliest rapids.

This trip down the nbile had a little bit of everything from dangers rapids, to dangerous wildlife, to dealing with the politics of the local tribesmen

Though I didn't find the people involved in this expedition, it was interesting reading about the challenges and life-threatening situations they encountered on the journey. I would have liked more about the ecology, culture, and people of the region but that was not intended to be the focus of the book so I'm not surprised it wasn't included.

The first team to ever attempt to raft down the entire Nile River. I was shocked at all the dangers they had to encounter. However, this also made it an outstanding adventure.

Very interesting . I don't think I'd have guts. Now I have to see the IMAX movie since that's as close as I will ever get to the Nile

I thought this was a story of the search for the Nile, disappointed to learn it was an "adventure" rafting the Nile. Not interested.
