Excellent read!

1885 Scotland.

A castle, a ghost, an evil plot to take over the castle, secret liaisons amongst the servants, hidden documents and much more.

Duncan Campbell finds out he is an heir to a castle in Scotland. He is already extremely wealthy from his companies and living in New York. He was never able to please his father even with his success. His father was dead now and never returned to his beloved Scotland so Duncan chose to go there.

Mostly an “inheritance” story set in Scotland—hero is an American who’s inherited a Scottish castle. Heroine is the widow and stepmother of the disinherited son. There’s a ghost who helps resolve things.
