This is a really cute story, although I figured the 'mystery' out at the very beginning, but I am a huge fan of mysteries.

Fifteen years is a long time to wait for the continuum of time to catch up to you, and only in the imaginations of authors who will bend the laws of physics and play into the fantasy of being able to manipulate clocks and calendars, to move forwards or backwards to influence the future or change the past, is it possible to make that journey along with the travelers, in the space of moments.

Although Henry Wallens is on his way of making something significant in his career, but in his love life, he is lonely. He never socializes much even when he's young. So Henry decides to use a time machine he creates on his job to go back to his past. Posing as his uncle, Henry tries to remind his younger-teenager-self, that there's more to life than science. But Henry's happiness in the future might actually be tied up to this moment when he travels back in time ....

Going back in time to correct your own mistakes, or to make your life less lonely, sounds like an attractive proposition. That Henry, the super-clever scientist, used a ‘modified cell phone’ to do it made me smile. All that aside, traditional theory assumes it will lead to a paradox if you meet yourself, so the author adds a slight twist to this story to make it work. Of course, the theorists would still have a fit about the whole idea, I am sure, but this is fiction, right?

Henry is a scientist. A dedicated scientist. One who spends a lot of time poring over his work. The fact that he is also lonely is mainly due to the fact that he likes to talk about what he’s interested in, and what interests him is SCIENCE. This causes dates to get eyes glazed over and not many second dates. Henry’s mother is always trying to get him to go on dates. She wants her boy to be happy. During a lunch together, she also reminds him how much he looks...more

2.5 stars, rounded up.
Okay short story about a science nerd who invents a time travel device in a cell phone. He travels back in time to give himself some social advice and there, runs into his hot High School science teacher. Time travel (which I love) usually does my head in and time travel in 38 pages is that x 1000. There's really not enough time to develop the characters, the story or the science and I felt the sexy times at the end seemed a bit out of place with what had been a sweet story...more
