An erotic romance novella by Lucy Felthouse published by Xcite Books, winners of the ETO Best Erotic Book Brand 2010 & 2011.

At 35, travel writer Annalise is fed up with insensitive comments about being left on the shelf. It’s not as if she doesn’t want a man, but her busy career doesn’t leave her much time for relationships. Sexy liaisons with passing acquaintances giv...more

I have read a few of Lucy's books now and found she has such an easy reading style, she really knows people and how they think its just the little things that make her characters come to life and this book was no exception.
The book has a great start with a sexy hot scene of Annalise playing with her favourite rabbit; a girl after my own heart.

I have read Lucy before and really enjoyed her shorties, so when she asked me to review this novella, I jumped at the chance. In fact, she jumped straight to the top of my reading pile.

I went into this expecting to like it, but you know what, I loved it. Right from the first page I loved the heroine. She is just so likeable with her no nonsense approach to sex and relationships and the phone call from mum, berating her that she was never going to find a husband, lol.

This story turned out to be a really fun read! It wasn’t overloaded on sexual content, but there was definitely enough to keep it interesting! I really enjoyed Annalise and had fun on her trip through this story. Damien is also quite the treat, and in more ways than one!

First of all, Annalise has the dream job of travel writer. I mean, who wouldn’t want to travel the whole world and do exciting things and write about them…. And get paid for it! Seriously, that alone gave her big bonus points. A...more

Holy moly Batman, this is one interesting and pretty fast ride.

This is my first Lucy Felthouse novel, and let me tell you folks she's got a great imagination on her. Annalise reminded me of Samantha from 'Sex In The City' or if that's not a good point of reference for you then picture a 35-year-old woman with the sex drive of a teenage boy. Yeah, I know it's a weird combination but what'd you call someone who has 'liaisons with passing acquaintan...more

Fun read, but good grief, this needs a new cover.....

Annalise is a free-lance reviewer that travels all over and writes up articles about her experience. Damien works at the bookstore at the airport and they are attracted to each other. If you are looking for a story about a woman that is constantly thinking about sex or where her next lay is, this is the book for you. Not my cup of tea but might work for others.

Off The Shelf is just the right amount of sweet and naughty. Miss Felthouse has written a fun and sexy story that really proves that love works in funny ways, and can begin in the most normal of places.

I enjoyed this story very much and recommend it to anyone who likes a little saucy-ness with their romance.

I'm not going to post a review on my blog since I rated this under a 3. I really really disappointed with the book. There wasn't much of a story and the smexy parts, weren't even that sexy. It was a really fast read, so I expected that they would get to the steamy parts a lot faster than they did. I really liked the male lead though. He's sexy and interesting. It wasn't a complete waste of time, but I can't say that I would recommend this one.

I liked the interaction between Damien and Annalise.

The rest of the story is best described as erotic chick lit. It was almost a DNF for me, but I soldiered on because it was a short though I was alternately squicked and bored.

A quick, short read. Annalise knows what she needs and is not afraid to get it!
I would have liked this story to have been longer to get into both the main characters, as we only get insight into Annalise. Nevertheless, a tasy bite!

A great read if you want romance with your sex along with well-crafted sexual tension, realistic characters and a hugely satisfying ending. Go grab yourself a copy of Off The Shelf and put it on your shelf!

This was my first Lucy Felthouse book and it was a delight. Lucy has a relaxed style to her writing and it draws you in. I enjoyed the characters and was so very pleased when they finally got together, hello sexual tension. Good stuff.

A sweet romance novella that focuses on the build up of the relationship before the actual deed. Very realistic, and the woman's role was refreshing in male-dominate fiction.

Off The Shelf is a very erotic quick read. If you're into the erotica genre & aren't offended by graphic sexual scenes then this is for you.

This was a short but good read! I liked Damien and Annalise. I love the concept of meeting your perfect partner in a book store!
