I just finished this second book in the series and I totally love it, even more so than the first one. It's great fun and action-packed. Never a boring moment, and I love Gobbert!

Can't wait for the next book in the series!

A must read young adult fantasy. It's the second book in the series and was a great follow up to the first book. After Carla loses her powers, she ventures out into the world to find Parklon, this time and in Zoola. The book explored teenage drinking and fantasy romance in a totally unique way. I also loved Gobbert, he’s hilarious!

I'm noticing a theme in the books, because each one seems to focus on a different colony, which I'm thoroughly enjoying, because I want to know more about this world.
I love this book! The originality still sparkles and what I especially loved was the introduction of Gobbert, a fat hairy fairy who has bubbles coming out of its rear end! It reminded me a bit of Jenks in Kim Harrison's Hollows series. Carla doesn't always stand up for herself in this book, but when she does... She kicks ass!
I liked this book better than the first. One problem that annoyed me in both books was the editing. There were many mis-spelled words and grammar problems. There was even one place in the book where Parklon's name was mis-spelled.
I loved this book even more than the first one! It was a fantastic fantasy read and I'm dying to read the next one!
