In case you don't have time to read the book, here are the most important things you need to know:

Don't look at the sun
a) through a telescope without a solar filter (near-instant blindness)
b) through binoculars (near instat blindness)
c) with your eyes (slower visual loss)

Wonderfully handy book. Small and packed with all the basics you need while observing. There are better books out there (in my opinion)on the topic, but being a physical copy instead of an e-book means I'm more comfortable taking this out of the house and onto the field :)
