Of the private detective genre, rough well meaning guy who all the ladies love, solves a murder that no one even has realized was a murder. :)

Fun, quick read. A bit campy here and there, but a fun read.

Born Reginald Evelyn Peter Southouse Cheyney, he trained as a lawyer before getting tired of legal office work and joining the Army.
