Michael Larson
Once again, the authors continue to showcase their ambition here, expanding on characters and ideas from previous volumes, and even while introducing new ones, including an issue that's entirely wordless, without feeling gimmicky.

I really feel like I'm in good hands with this series, and even thought it does seem like its building to an ending sooner rather than later, I hope that the level of sheer exuberant storytelling on display here continues for a long, long time.

This series continues to impress. This is the best weird western I've ever read and would be fertile ground for a television series or film version. I loved all the stuff in the underground city of the Knights of Solomon. That would make for a heck of a film set someday if someone wanted to attempt a movie of this series. I, for one, would be there at the head of the line.

While the third trade of The Sixth Gun left me a little cold, the fourth one definitely made the difference for me on a whole. The right balance between myth and action, a story that seemed to make a little more sense in the grand scheme, and so on. I'm actively looking forward to the fifth volume now, especially as many plans seem to have gone into motion now.

3.5-3.75. still no Hume (general or wife) but the big rescue issue with no dialogue was pretty fun. wondering about the motives of Kirby hale. Becky was a lot tougher and more interesting in this book, she may end up to be a compelling female yet. good to have more drake. overall much better than the third volume.
Charles
This book continues the title solidly, evolving both the history of the guns and the world and characters they effect. Here's to hoping the authors continue to evolve this series, and know if they need to stop; I would prefer a shorter solidly ended run over a milked dry pablum.

Becky helps Drake escape the Sword of Abraham's subterranean creepy lair. This is one of the strongest volumes of the Sixth Gun so far. The tension stays taut and there are some clever choices in storytelling. Sixth Gun is good stuff and you should be reading it.

I was getting bored with this series, but this book kind of turned that around, a bit. I wish each book would deal with the mythology of the guns a bit more, but hopefully all will be explained.

Jacob
Walloping action with just the right mix of talking and mystery. Comics aren't usually crafted as well as this. I think the artist really had his work cut out for him on this go-round.
Daniel Cooksey
This story just gets better and better as it goes. It is starting to remind me of Hellboy as the mythology deepens.

I love this series. I'm a sucker for genre mash-ups, and this is just about the perfect mix of western and horror.
