Delightful comedy of errors

Well, this is one half of a Harlequin flipside but I just cannot pass up a murder mystery party book. It's a sickness, I know.
This one is told from the POV of the planners. Megan Renshaw loves her job as a party planner and desperately wants to be successful. Normally unflappable, a series of issues are plaguing her. Her cook loves the booze, which is keeping half the players blitzed, the victim is high after an emergency root canal, and (most improbably) the house where she's staging the event

This is my first murder mystery/romance book. It took me a little bit to get into it, but I really enjoyed it! There's a lot of humor, a touch of romance, mystery and a happy ending. This is the first I've read of Trish Jensen alone and it will not be my last.

Meg has a past that hurts. She's now in the business of vacation/mystery and enjoys her job. She is a carefree happy-go lucky sort of gal that takes it all as it comes her way.
