The book comes with a DVD, which I watched first. To my disappointment, the book was merely a reiteration of the interviews in the film (instead of what I hoped for: two distinct but complimentary works). I found the film/book self-indulgent, as Niermann seems more interested in selling an extravagant, half-baked idea to his interviewees and to the audience than in thoroughly investigating the question, "what is the future of art?"
