Rachel is a witch and has paranormal and human friends. This Halloween she is reluctantly persuaded to go with them to a frat party. But the punch has been spiked with a spell that turns the drinkers into zombies and all hell is breaking loose. Rachel must use her skills and her shifter friends strength to save their human friends and stop the spell.

I had been curious about this series which I'd spotted on a few blogs and when the chance for a freebie prequel came up, I downloaded it to see what

Frat House of the Dead - Great Teaser for the Salt Lake After Dark Series

Rating: 4 of 5
Author: J.K Walker
Format: Kindle, Paperback

Deciding how to celebrate Halloween can be a challenge for some, but given its prominence for Wiccans, Rachel Wood felt more pressure than most. Especially since, as a young witch, potions and such were't her thing. Instead melding technology with witchcraft was her passion. Resigned to spend All Hallows Eve with the latest video game, Rachel gets a call from her frie

Fangs for the Fantasy
Rachel has finally and reluctantly been coaxed out of her quiet, happy solitude for a Hallowe’en -party – thanks to Tammy’s determined insistence.

It looks like they may be right – Cassie, Angel, Tammy and Jazz definitely know how to have fun

Then zombies ruin everything. And zombies and frat houses do not mix.

This book was immense fun with a lot of humour and some really great movie references and geeky references. It’s references like this that really build these four women as friends because yo

Who would ever think a Zombie attack could be funny or fun or a little crazy? Hey, its Halloween, there’s a party, Jazz and her friends are going, but someone spikes the punch with a spell and the results bring a whole new meaning to the term party animals!! Frat House of the Dead by J. K. Walker is like a little slice of life from the Salt Lake After Dark Series with a quick pace, great humorous touches, some girl attitude and a little magic. This is a great way to test the waters for this seri ...more

Frat House of the Dead is a great little novella which follows up on the happenings of Glacial Eyes (Book One of Salt Lake After Dark). If you have a previous edition of Frat House, you can download the new, edited version from your Kindle Library.

Glacial Eyes was one of my favorite series beginnings of the year. It was a requested review by the author, and I am tremendously grateful I acquiesced to the request, as it quickly earned J. K. Walker a spot on my "must buy immediately upon publicatio

*I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*

This is a novella told from Rachel's point of view. It was nice getting a glimpse into the head of one of the other characters.

Rachel is a witch, but she wasn't raised as one. Her grandmother is trying to get her to embrace her magical gifts, but she doesn't love magic, she loves technology, and she tries to combine the two. If anyone can modernize magic it will be her.

This all takes place on Halloween at a frat party. R

What a captivating novella. Walker had me laughing, cringing, and even in shock throughout. I couldn`t help but get wrapped up in the tale. Walker has also given me a new appreciation for zombies. In general, they tend to be my least favourite of the supernatural creatures but with this twist I found myself enjoying them immensely.

I really appreciated the way that you get to know the characters from the Salt Lake After Dark series better in this little sidebar. Although it isn`t strictly essent

Recommends it for: Anyone looking for a great novel!!!
J.K Walker has done it again!! I have never liked Zombie books, but Frat House of the Dead was the perfect little "In-between" novel to the Salt Lake After Dark series!! Walker was able to capture the unique and dynamic characters to keep his novela thrilling, but still short and sweet. He is a very talented author who keeps me on the edge of my seat! I will definitely be keeping tabs on all his books, and buying them the minute they hit the shelves!!

After reading her other books, this one was rather tame. I
realize that it was just a novella and it featured Rachel, I was expecting a little more action. All in all though, it was an interesting read.
