Clunky, amateurish, and irritating with flashes of clarity and insight ala the 'genre' its covering, which reminded me of what Ron Swanson said to Ann (on the telly show "Parks and Recreation") at her farewell party: goodbye Ann, I've enjoyed parts of our time together.

Recommends it for: any one interested in the violent past of post hippie music
I bought this at first because the pictures were awsome and it talked about of a lot of the music I used to listen to whn I was younger. I read it from cover to cover after that learning a bit about the music I used to love along the way. It covers from the talking Heads and Blondie through the new wavers like the cure and Siousxie so its a damned good read!!
