i like the idea of this book very much. the foreword was very entertaining, but i've read a few chapters & i'm not as enthralled as i had hoped to be. the story is interesting enough: a grizzled, washed out former bike courier makes his way back to Canada after having biked/hitched/bused thru Central America. i love road books. i'm married to a former bike courier so this resonates. but there's something about the level of language: it's so formal, not intimate enough. & i know i'm being...more
