This is the novel that everyone in Oakdale is talking about. This is the scandal they can't ignore.
It's a major event in Oakdale -- a black-tie gala honoring the Marron family's fifty years of support for Oakdale's Memorial Hospital. But high spirits are cut short when patron of honor Gregory Marron Jr. is delivered in his limo dead on arrival, from an apparent heart attac...more

Yes ... I read another book tied to As the World Turns. It all starts at one of the biggest events of the year. The hospital is hosting a major gala to recognize a local famil for many, many years of financial support. The Marron family is one of the wealthiest in America, but they have nothing on the rest of the people in Oakdale. It really becomes clear when Gregory Marron, Jr arrives, not-so-fashionably late. I personally did not know that this book was based off a Soap...if I had of known that, I probably would have never read the book! That being said, the book was alright...there were quite a few drama moments in it and the "who did it" question came up a lot! 2 of the 3 main characters kinda sounded like they had been around the block a time or two, and I could never keep up with who there lover was now. Did have a good plot to it though, and did turn out to have a good ending! Would recommend to...more
It was nice to o home to Oakdale. It was a fun mystery read with all my old fiends. It was nice to have Nancy as a major player. I wish more of the older charaters had had more than just a mention. Carley, Jack, Henry, and Katie are center stage in this enjoyable romp around the familiar haunts of Oakdale from Snyder pond to Al's diner.
I thought this was an interesting book and the mystery part was pretty good. I didn't know it was based off of a soap opera, but it was pretty interesting. It wasn't predictable, which is pretty hard to do with a murder mystery, so that's why I liked it. It was a quick read, which is why I liked it.
