This book is very easy to look through, it offers patterns that are knitted with brightly colored yarn and the way they formatted the book is very pleasant. I only found one pattern that I wanted to knit, but I thought the patterns in this book were pretty good, for the most part, some were a little over the top (in either yarn/color choice or were articles of clothing I'd never wear.) Has great looking patterns but I've only made the cozy scarf. I want to try the heart sweater pattern.
This is the first knitting book I got, because the patterns all use huge yarn, big needles, and simple designs. It allowed me to jump right in and do a sweater after the obligatory first-project-scarf. Apart from learning, I haven't found much use for it, though. I guess big yarn isn't my thing.
Some fun designs. Julia Sweeney's story about spending months knitting a sweater for her boyfriend only to have him break up with her 2 days after giving it to him is enough to keep you knitting for yourself :)
Some cute projects in this book, but the woman is such a whore for hollywood celebrities that I just can't stand her. I will take this out of the library over and over, but I will never buy it.
There were maybe two patterns in this whole book that I would want to knit. And it annoyed me that all the yarns were Suss' own. A little too self-consciously hip and trendy for me.
Simple knits, gorgeous yarns. Nothing new here.
Really a 3.5-3.75 star.
