When her family's livelihood is threatened by horse thieves who take her father's prize buffalo runner, Angelique decides to follow them and bring the horse home. Yeah, that is weird to have a completely different description of the book than the one I read. Anyway, I enjoyed this book. Angelique, her brother Joseph, and friend Francois chase down horse raiders and get kidnapped in the process. They escape and and are able to return home.

Weird... the description for this book is wrong, as is the cover illustration. Oh well. Such is life. This book was my favourite in the series.
