Gage Baron has made it on his own. He's wealthy, and his marriage seems successful, too--until Natalie leaves him.

Then Gage receives an invitation to his father's Texas estate; Jonas obviously has more on his mind than just his eighty-fifth birthday celebration. But the possibility he might inherit Espada is less important to Gage than the opportunity to win back Natalie.

I didn't actually care for this book, I remember I read it a while back. It made me angry to read it because the mistakes the hero and heroine made were very slight. They just had way too much pride and very little trust. Not to mention the fact, they didn't openly talk about their fears and the situations at hand.
Gage is so clueless most of the time...but then Natalie is so uncommunicative too. I guess for a marriage to work, love is not really enough. With no communication between them...well no wonder it fell apart...

I'm glad they worked it out in the end...both really loved each other so much.
All this book taught me is you have to let go of your pride and discuss things openly in order to move forward in your marriage/life.
the whole situation could have been resolved by a simple conversation that cristie told Natalie to have with Gabe in the first place.
3 1/2 stars. The book dragged on with nothing really happening. Moreover, I thought a 5 min convo would've cleared up all the misunderstanding.

I've been a writer, one way or another, all my life. Before I could read, I made up poems and my mom wrote them down for me. In elementary school, my teachers almost always let me write poems or stories instead of requiring me to do art projects. Always, I dreamed of becoming a published writer...and that dream came true! I write novels about sexy, powerful men and independent-minded women, and wh
