This is the sister book to the authors book on skirts. It is almost word for word on the instructions, with the specifics for tops interchanged for the ones for skirts. Like I said in my review of the skirt book: There's a lot of basic info, guidance and direction. However, it is completely based on using a pattern and following the book along with the pattern instructions. Lots of instruction for the beginning sewer or a good refresher for an experienced. Covers basic construction techniques with current trends for garment construction and embellishment.

This book would be useless for any beginner. They don't tell you the patterns that they use. The styles are not basic enough so they are quickly dated. Don't waste your time.
